This guy Stuart Hay is no more a builder than I am a brain surgeon. He and his crew are the biggest bunch of amateurish chancers, NONE of whom are any good whatsoever. His bricklayer filled in a disused door opening for me and the idiot used the plasterwork around the old opening as his datum. Problem was it was thicker at the top than the bottom so the whole panel leaned inwards. He never once used a spirit level. His joiner put up plasterboard all over our new extension and used about a quarter as many nails as he should have so it all bellied downwards and had to be re-nailed. His electrician nearly killed my wife after putting in a temporary spur for our oven that was wired with the supply and load reversed and the live and neutral reversed. We switched it off to paint round the new socket and it exploded when my wife tried to paint round it. Hay himself laid our foundations and patio and they are so appalling the foundations have to be underpinned and the patio demolished because it wasn't level, square or structurally sound, mainly because it was sitting on only two to three inches of very poor concrete that broke like a digestive biscuit when we pulled it out. Stay well clear of this idiot. He'll ruin your house and cost you a fortune in rebuilding.
