Galaxy & Sutton Cars in Erdington, Birmingham

Never use this company and definitely never pre book them. The driver didn't wait and when we called him back to see where he was, his English was awful and he was super rude. When we spoke to the company they tried to be helpful but when it's 1am and freezing half an hour is not a great response. Will never use them again and suggest you don't either.

I have written a review about this taxi company on another site, but felt I should write a review on here too. I think it's important to inform people about the service.
I contacted this taxi firm at 7.50am requesting a taxi to be booked for 8.30am to my sons school and told them the name of the school. I waited from 8.30am until 8.40am and the taxi did not appear. When I called, I was told the driver was on his way and he will be a further 4 minutes late. I called back again at 8.50am explaining he was 20mins late and has still not appeared. I was told its not his fault as he's in traffic, and that the company don't call customers if the drivers are late. Furthermore, I was told that the taxi company receive a lot of calls in the morning, so it's no wonder the taxis are late. I told the lady at the office that it is still unacceptable to leave a customer waiting for 20 mins, and that its courtesy to phone the customer if they are late with an apology and estimated time. While we were talking, the driver turned up, offered no apology, and asked me where I was going!!! Unbelievable!!! This taxi had been booked since 7.50am, and the job was allocated to this driver, and he was asking me where I was going!! He then asked ME to direct him all the way to my son's school, despite having a sat nav in front of him. We were 25-30 mins late in total and he asked for the full fare. Disgusted.

My 86 year old mother has used this company a number of times to get home after shopping in Mere Green.

She has been left standing on more than one occasion for more than half an hour, in the cold and the wet. On Wednesday 3 December they never turned up at all and she had to walk home in the dark carrying her shopping --- she is 86 not 26.

I'm disgusted with their service and when we complained they just said there had been a mix up, this has been their excuse every time. Do not use them!

Do not use Galaxy taxi firm. I took a taxi last night from Kingsbury road to Lozells and back. I gave the taxi man £10 once I reached the destination in Lozells as I was unsure whether I was returning back to Erdington. I decided that I would return to Kingsbury road so we agreed that I will pay another additional £5 but we would need to stop at a cash point which was at BP station at six ways. Once we pulled up at my destination the driver snatched the £20 out of my hand and refused to give me change. To cut the long story short police were called and arrested the driver. I was travelling alone as a woman in the middle of the night so I was vulnerable as far as I am concerned. I have been a on off customer for over 2 decades but this incident that has impacted me I will never ever use them again and I will deter any customer from using them now and in the future. Uber all the way for me!

Park Lane Sutton Coldfield 5th December 2016 at 5pm driver drove the wrong side of the road in Park Lane to avoid traffic queue and then was unable to exit onto Brassington Avenue due to gridlock. Not only an unbeleivable piece of dangerous driving but also closed off Park Lane to traffic as was blocking the wrong side of the road at the junction. Terrible driving from cab no 28170. Should be fired before he causes a serious accident.
