Gary came to look at a cracked radiator pipe for us. From the start he was clearly incompetent and we had no faith in him carrying out the work to a good standard. We told him we didn’t want to proceed with any repairs. He then left the property without explanation, then text us 15 minutes later saying he had bought necessary parts and was on way back (something we assume to be a lie as no suitable supplier anywhere near our property). He then demanded money from us, becoming very confrontational and aggressive. My partner (a shift worker) ended up having to take a holiday day from work out of fear of leaving me alone and Gary returning to our property in the same aggressive and confrontational state. After reading other reviews, we are now so pleased we stood our ground and refused to let him re-enter our property to carry out any work. Stay well clear of this man.

Hired Gary to fit toilet/vanity sink.
Had water running from my kitchen ceiling below the bathroom as he was about to leave.
Had to call the next morning as there was still water leaking and the toilet cistern was hanging off the wall. He came back and within minutes of him leaving we had 2 leaks on the sink.
He bluntly refused to accept anything was wrong. He had used silicone all over the joins to try and stop the leak rather than fit the correct pipe/fittings.
As he’d pushed the waste pipe in the wall the outside pipe had pushed out so was no longer connected! His solution was to fill around the waste with tonnes of silicone and hope for the best!
I also bought a new toilet waste pipe for my new toilet and he put the old one on and put mine in the boot of his car! Got him on ring video stealing it!
Toilet now needs taking out as he hasn’t even used washers on the seat fittings so the seats coming off and can only be tightened by fully removing the toilet!

All the work Gary Lawton did has had to be ripped out & redone at our expense. Wall panels fitted incorrectly, huge gaps, not watertight, for a shower. Instead of doing things the right way he botched things. He broke the shower door we bought, went off to buy an inferior one not fit for purpose, fitted it the wrong way round & left it unsecured (He couldn't work out how to work round a small window) nothing fitted correctly, hv photos, happy to share. @A C Bathrooms hv been very helpful helping us get reputable, competent plumbers. Spoke to Gary Lawton, not interested, he threatened Police & Solicitors if I went public. He gets glowing reviews for fitting taps & basic stuff, anything more is beyond him. Tried uploading photos, will add later if it's been unsuccessful.
