Pretty awful frankly. It has gone seriously downmarket-wouldn't look out of place on the Oxford Road or cemetery junction in Reading. Dirty glasses, landlord dressed scruffily sipping water from a bottle, patronising dumbed down menu, industrial looking gas bottles providing the heating, tacky looking hi-fi supplying music - I could go on. A few years ago this was a nice establishment and a pleasure to visit. I was shocked at what it has become and won't be back in a hurry. It has become like many places these days - run on the proverbial shoestring - the bottom line is king!
