Bridge Of Weir River Angling Club has the rights to fish the River Gryffe (Mid Reaches) for salmon, trout and grayling. The case was made that the function of the website www.bowrac.com was to serve a local group, to stimulate local interest, to update the members on the activities on the water and within the Club and hopefully to attract more local people to the club. Encouraging young people away from computer screens, admittedly via the self-same mechanism, into the more healthy open air was seen as a particular aim. Sportscotland approved our application via the Awards for All programme.
