Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment with the aim of rehabilitating and preventing recurrence of injury. A variety of treatment techniques which may be used include soft tissue manipulation, mobilisation (articulation) of the joints, Western acupuncture, postural and ergonomic advice, manipulation of the joints, diet and exercise as appropriate.
Cranial osteopathy is a specialist form of osteopathy. It gently feels the subtle involuntary mechanism within the body. It often involves treatment of the head but also includes the whole body. It is a safe approach to treatment. It can be applied to individuals of all ages from the newborn to the elderly.
