Carl Gills Golden Fry in Gateshead

The only chippy I've been to where they won't put chilli and garlic sauce on a kebab. It's not a big task to put half a spoon of each on, but it is here.

I don't know if it's because the owner is too greedy or the staff are inept, but it's very odd. When paying £4.95 for a small kebab and chips it didn't seem like much of an ask.

The staff member was grumpy and couldn't do anything to keep the customers happy.

The food was hot but no better than other places near by that can cook food to order.
