Don’t use this company !!! They agreed to undertake a complete refurbishment of a small bathroom but failed to live up to the claim of ‘Bathroom Specialists’. In the end I had to dispense with their services and get someone else to finish the job. They still owes me money!

They wanted a deposit before work started but, despite a number of requests, it was the Devil’s own job getting a receipt for the money I had handed over. The only way I got a receipt was to type one out myself and stand over him whilst he signed it.

I had specifically asked how long the project would take and was told that the work would be completed within 5 - 7 days but, after a month, only half the work was done. I was left without a shower or alternative washing facilities or downstairs toilet for 3 weeks.

Despite numerous promises, he failed to attend and undertake the agreed works. It was necessary to contact him almost every day to determine whether he would be attending. Sometimes he would give an assurance that he would be there, but failed to appear. Half way through the project he gave an assurance that ‘You’ve got me full time from now on’ but I made the mistake of believing him. He would turn up some days and not others and he never completed an expected full days work.

Don’t trust his electrical competence because he used old/outdated cables and fitted inappropriate lighting within a wet zone of the bathroom therefore the lights had to be replaced which I had to pay for.

He made such a bodge of the ceiling that it had to be re-plastered.

And don’t get him to do any tiling for you. He underestimated the tiles needed by over 50% and he failed to prepare the walls properly so that the tiles weren’t flat. Thankfully he only did one and a bit walls.

He had been given sufficient funds prior to the start of work for the purchase of equipment but, one month later, despite giving an assurance that necessary items had been purchased, this was not the case. He claimed that he had been let down by suppliers, but this was clearly not so as he was ordering items on the go and not pre-ordering. If he had been let down by suppliers there were alternatives he could have purchased. However he never offered any alternatives. He fitted a damaged shower screen and only as a result of me threatening him with Trading Standards did I get a response and a promise of a replacement shower screen. The delay he blamed on - guess who? - yes ’his suppliers’.

There are better qualified and more competent tradesmen out there so avoid this company like the plague.

Yes I agree with the above. Avoid them. They installed a boiler in our place really badly. They don't respond to requests to come out and make good the work.
