Oasis Dental Care in St. Leonards-On-Sea

Word of mouth encouraged me to attend this Dentist. It came highly recommend. The Dentist was evidently competent but his bedside manner left a lot to be desired. Absolutely no reassurance whatsoever. Didn’t say how long each part of the procedure would be. Didn’t say what he was doing all along the course of the procedure. When I went for my first check up he said the tooth cap needed replacing due to potential decay under it as evidenced from an X-ray which he showed and I concurred with this. I was also told at the time it would cost £300+ which I thought was reasonable. So I was most shocked to receive a bill for £600 which included a clean and polish. He had mentioned this but added it without asking if I wanted it so he didn’t gain my consent. I won’t be having it because the cost of it is too high £90. He didn’t tell me if he found and cleared said decay either. So while he seemed most competent he wasn’t reassuring and didn’t pick up on my fear borne out by tears and shaking. So overall there are some good points but generally I was unimpressed.
