The Oak Wigmore in Wigmore, Leominster

Description:
The Oak Wigmore is a 16th century, oak framed Coaching Inn set in the heart of the historic anglo saxon village of Wigmore. It’s earliest traceable history starts with the Domesday book of 1085 and the building was sensitively restored in 2013/14 exposing the ancient stonework and oak timbering of the original building.
Whilst the building offers all the comforts of modern facilities the services are well hidden under Welsh slate floor slabs, half timbered partition walls and exposed raftered roof pitches.
The original frontage building is fully restored offering a lounge bar complete with open log fireplace, is dog friendly and is a “home from home”. The Barn return is part medieval cruck and part Queen trussed long room with a glass floored mezzanine lounge giving access to Private Dining rooms. An enclosed conservatory offers fine dining with local ales. To the rear is an ample Kitchen with bedroom accommodation above and a large traditional pub garden to the rear.
