G & P Ceramics in Bushey

DO NOT USE THIS TILER!!!
Unfortunately my experience with G & P is the opposite of the reviews posted. I picked G& P due to the fact that my tenant had used them and they were also the cheapest quotation I have obtained.
The job was relatively straight forward; laying back and white mosaic Victorian tiles in a hallway, porch and on an outside step and cleaning and polishing marble tiles.
As the other reviews state both Garys turned up on time, were polite and got on with the job which he estimated would take 5 days.
Mid way through the job, Gary stated that they would be done ion 4 days and that he had another job to get to. I requested that the full 5 days be spent on the job to ensure it isn’t rushed which will lead to issues.
That is where the positive element ends as Gary was more concerned about getting to his next job rather than ensuring my job was done to the required standard.

After 2 attempts to complete the job to the required standard, I am left with the following:
1. Hallway floor was not levelled resulting in uneven tiles
2. Tiles were not cleaned and grouting was not done evenly as a result of not levelling the floor
3. Tiles were not properly colour enhanced and sealed
4. Marble tiles were left with swirl marks and not polished as required eve after 2 attempts. Gary blamed this on the sealant that was already on the tiles. I know isn’t the case as the same tiles have been cleaned and polished previously with no issues
5. Marble tiles damaged with bubbling on top
6. Marble tiles damaged due to the fact that seal/polish liquid was sprayed on them. Gary tried to blame this on something burning it even though he knew well what caused it.

I am now out of pocket due to the fact that I have to get in a professional tile maintenance company to come in to rectify the damage to marble tiles and the finish to the mosaic tiles.
I requested that Gary cover this cost as the damage is due to his errors. I also stated that I would be left with no choice but to post a factual review on Trust a Trader about what has happened. Gary reacted with profanity and a refusal to cover the costs.
Needless to say that I WILL NOT be using G&P again nor will I recommend them to anyone. If you want a professional tiling job, I would strangely suggest that you choose a trader that comes highly recommended by family and/or friends and do not solely be driven by cost.
