Use a main dealer, it may be less costly in the long run.
I took my car in for an oil change. Wish I never had, cost me a lot more money than the original job cost to correct the issue created and twice I had to jack up the car myself totally defeating the point of paying someone to do the job.
On the first drive after the oil change the engine undertray came loose folded up under the car, snapped and flew off on the motorway. I took the car back to JD, was asked to leave it an hour for them to look at, 3 hours later I gave up and walked back round there, the car had been looked at but no one had bothered to call me. JD Autos made excuses as to why the tray would have come off but agreed to replace it. I decided not to drive the car until it was fixed but never expected that 3 weeks later they would still not have got the part in. I called several times and was given more excuses and promises, none of which materialised. They kept saying they’d call me back and never once did. Then the owner was going on holiday so nothing could be done for a few more weeks. I asked for my money back on the original job but didn’t get a clear response and as the owner was now away I gave up and have had the work done out of my own pocket (£250!!!). To give them a fair chance I have now waited a further month to see if the owner contacted me after his holiday, surprise surprise, nothing.
This has been an expensive and stressful experience which I will not be repeating. Main dealer all the way from now on.

Excellent service from J D Autos. Fixed my vehicle no problems. Pick up and return service. When they delivered the car back they had given a complimentary valet and clean as I'm a new customer. Great family run business.
