Askari Fishing in Erith
Research before you buy from this company, they have the worst ever customer service I have ever dealt with, I made an order which they quickly sent to me via the courier Hermes, who then subsequently have not made a delivery of my goods and said they had delivered and I had signed for! They did not deliver and I'm willing to prove it if Askari would take action and let me prove it? I have reported to the police a possible fraud relating to my signature and possible theft of a parcel but as Hermes wont respond to me directly I guess I will never know?
I have also had to contact my card provider and raise a transaction dispute against Askari as they seem uninterested and unwilling to act on my issue. Askari have only made 1 contact attempt in two weeks of my dispute with their courier of choice and have told me point blank until the courier responds to them (if only they would ) there is nothing they can do about it! Hermes refuse to deal with me directly and presumably don't even give a monkey's about responding to their own client, so as a customer what chance do you have to get your goods or a refund?
Do yourself a favour and google "Askari reviews" and especially google "Hermes reviews" before you make an order... I wish I had!
Askari Hunting/Fishing and Hermes a match made in hell! Why do I say that? well I ordered some bits of them in the past so when I received a email with a discount code in and some bits on their website that I wanted I thought nothing of ordering of them as in the past I ordered it turned up a few days later no problems but that was about 8 or 9 years ago, things have seriously gone to crap since then I ordered my bits on the 02/02/16 gave it a few days nothing so a week later I called them and had the phone put down on me about 5 or 6 times because I don’t speak fluent German when I finally got through to a girl who spoke some English she finally put me on to a British guy who said he would email Hermes to find out what’s wrong what he didn’t tell me is that you have to wait 21 days until Hermes admit they have lost it or its been stolen, so 21 days later I rang Askari back and Hermes admitted to losing my parcel so Askari offered me a refund or reorder so stupidly I reordered 24/02/16 huge mistake as I was going to find out, I thought the cant balls it up twice so I asked the brit how long will it take to arrive he said a week so a week later looking on the Hermes tracker it never moved exactly the same as my first package so I rang them back had the phone put down on me several times then got through to the brit who told me the same thing again and even laughed about it and said I should be more patient, are you serious well over a month and no parcel twice and I should be patient so I told him I wanted a immediate refund no chance you will have to wait until Hermes admit to losing my parcel again, so I told him refund me and I will send it straight back if it ever arrives no chance you will have to wait. So it did finally arrive on the 08/03/16 by Hermes in a damaged parcel with part of my order all over the box, so don’t buy of Askari as they don’t care if your stuff does not arrive and they think it’s funny, I will never use Askari or Hermes ever again and if you do it’s your own fault you have been warned and no I didn’t send it back because I wouldn’t trust Hermes to get it there and then I would have been £50 out of pocket Askari and Hermes have messed me about enough.
Very poor delivery times and customer service. I ordered a nice looking Sportex Black Pearl rod and they delivered a crappy alternative by mistake. After contacting their customer service dept they said they would send it back.
The courier then went to the wrong address to collect. Eventually collecting it over a week later. Since then I have heard nothing from them, it has now been 7 weeks from ordering. In my experience over the past five years of online shopping they have been the worst I have ever come across by a long way.
