I went to view a car that had just arrived and was awaiting prep, this car was advertised at this time at £5899. After looking at this car we decided to go back a couple of days later, when it was all cleaned up and take for a test drive. We liked the car so thought we'd go for it, after the salesman agreed that they would put a new tyer on it and clear some rust on the door for no extra charge we were ready to do a deal. We sat down and as the price was discussed he told us that it was £5999...but we'd seen it at £100 cheaper and mentioned this, he then told us that the car had aways been up for £5999, we the showed him a picture on the iPad of the car at £5899. He went to see the owner of the garage who basically told us the same lie, until we showed him the picture, he got aggressive, told us he had that much interest he could easily sell it, he then walked into his office, still going on, aggressively pointing through the glass at us saying "I could sell that car at £6500, a hundred times over" . Basically this guy looked an idiot, he was dealing with another gentleman at the time of us, he was looking at a high spec BMW and fatally asked this man, who shouldn't work in a customer service environment, "how many miles to the gallon will I get in this?" to which he replied "well if you arr asking that it's not the car for you!" All I can say is that £100 isn't a lot but to be called a liar and be spoken to like that, well we made our excuses and left. I would rather spend my hard earned cash somewhere that it would be appreciated more.
