We are a long established (since 1928) 6 vet mixed practice based in Woodplumpton, Preston. We treat all species, but predominatley companion animals and farm animals.
The Surgery is self-contained in an easily accessible pleasant rural setting with a large off road parking area. It is situated just outside of Woodplumpton village, just a 2 minute drive from Broughton traffic lights.
We have a dedicated friendly team of permanent staff. We provide our own out of hours emergency service. This means you will always be met by a familiar face at any time day or night. Emergency phone calls are answered by dedicated members of our team, not an answer machine. We consider this personal service a major strength of our business. We have been praised by clients of the continuity of our service and care we are able to offer, especially at times of emergency when they feel anxious or worried.
We provide a complete first opinion companion animal service for our patients with a pharmacy on site. We offer routine veterinary and nurse consultations 6 days a week. In these we accommodate all health care needs, for example vaccinations, pet passports, micro chipping, nail clipping, feal and worm control, dietry advice and pregnancy scanning. We provide full surgical and diagnostic services and can offer high standard of intesive care. Our diagnostic services include x-rays, ultrasound. ECG and bacteriology. We untertake routine sergery 5 days a week, this includes, neutering, dentals and lump removals.
Davies and Johnson also stock a wide range of quality pet foods including Hills and Royal canin. Other foods can be ordered through ourselves.

Home visits can be arranged when required.
A full farm animal service is also provided by ourselves. We offer surgery, herd based fertility, preventative health care and also medicine.
