Fernie Hunt Kennels in Great Bowden, Market Harborough

As I enjoy my walks down to Welham Lane on a Tuesday and/or a Thursday morning I come across the hounds walking with their two dog handlers.
What a sight to see!.
As I approached the hounds the handlers did move the hounds to the side for traffic and other walkers.
I am not sure what sort of public interaction they can have. I have been surrounded by a few of the hounds.
Some of them had a sniff, one did jump up and tried to kiss me. One of the handlers did tell the hound to get down.
As the handlers and hounds returned along Welham Lane I did follow at a distance making sure that any hounds went back with the main group and the handlers.
Each hound has a name I can only remember one name of Border who promptly returned to the group after sniffing me or doing other things. I will continue my walks between 7.30am and 9.00am to see the hounds.
