Merchant Taylor's Junior School Stanfield in Crosby, Liverpool

The school is most definitely good academically and has wonderful facilities. Unfortunately the children are taught to behave well for an adult and the values of friendship and compassion are totally lacking. My daughter was bullied and as it was in the playground nothing could be done...

Academic pressure starts very young and in the case of my daughter it was far too much. She became depressed and withdrawn. The school did little to support and led us to believe that it was obviously just how she would cope with school.

Due to the stress she was under I withdrew her after reception and put her in our local school. She is thriving. She has reverted back to the happy, bubbly little girl that she was before. Academically she is working over a year ahead of where she is expected to be - much further in literacy. She enjoys learning.

Stanfield feels that the care that she received was adequate and I find that frightening!
