Dr Unlock in Nottingham

I took my phone in for a screen change, 2 weeks ago and when I gave them the phone, they said it would be ready the next day. So I rang them the next day to see how it was going and it wasn't done but that was fine, I gave them a few more days and it still wasn't done. Now 2 weeks later it's still not done, so I rang the owner today and he was very rude and started to get angry, in the end he put the phone down on me. I would not recommend this repair shop to anyone.

Not the best example of customer service lol. I turned up to get the screen glass of my phone replaced. Having got a quote online, I thought I would get a quote from Dr Unlock. I asked the guy behind the window (incidentally he had a very young child with him, which makes this even worse) 'Can you replace the glass in this phone' holding the phone up to show him. He said 'We can only change the whole screen'. On hearing that, and knowing I already have a quote for just the screen online, I said ' It doesn't matter then. As I turned round to leave the shop he said to me 'what?' So I turned back and asked 'Why can't you just change just the screen?' (Expecting to get some kind of technical answer. I wasn't prepared for the response I did get which was 'Because we don't do that here!'. This was really aggressive too. I once again said 'like I said, it doesn't matter then'. On that I turned and left the shop to get in my car. Having started the car I noticed that the shop assistant was standing at the shop door, with his middle finger raised I'm my direction. He shouted 'and don't f___g come back!'. I'm not quite sure why he thinks I would after the experience I got a few minutes earlier but I think I will take his advice. Lol

Totally unprofessional, they got angry with me after they broke my phone more than it was broken. The two males working at this place do not know how to deal with customers, I visited last week - may have been a lovers tiff but for some reason they felt that it was acceptable to swear, be abusive and charge for this privilege! Trading standards/police alert - Read reviews as i should have before parting with my hard earned money!

Yesterday I experienced the most terrifying ordeal of my life at the Dr. Unlock shop. Having taken two satnavs to them last Wednesday, and being told they would be updated within 48 hours I telephoned them this Monday (five days later) and asked when they would be ready. The person answering the phone told me he didn't know, he'd check and phone me back. He also asked for my phone number which I assured him he had in his order book. Having not received a call back, I phoned again 45 minutes later to ask if he could confirm when they would be ready. He screamed down the phone at me that he was going to phone me back when he was ready and that I could f*** off. I was very shocked and contacted my husband at work and asked him to take me to collect my satnavs. We went over to the shop and asked for the satnavs to be returned. The man I had spoken to on the phone pushed the satnavs at us and told us to clear off. As far as he has concerned that was it. I answered that it was not really it though because I expected an apology from him for his rude manner. He at this point started screaming, smashing the door, crashing and banging everything in sight and bringing out a stream of expletives that I will not shock anyone by writing down, and demanding that we left the shop. We were apparently breaking the law by standing in the shop. He even grabbed my husband and myself and started pushing us out of the door. I told him I was going to phone the police. He continued screaming at us that we were breaking the law by being in the shop and called for the poor post office woman who works in the post office next door to act as a witness. She was horrified, as was a second woman who came in to find out what the screaming was about. She also told the lunatic to calm down. He ignored her. For the whole time we were there -about five minutes in total- although it seemed much longer, he never stopped screaming at us. During this time we were never rude or abusive to him, but I can honestly say in all my life (which has been long as I am now a pensioner), that I have never witnessed such aggressive and abusive behaviour. On our return home, still shaken from our terrifying ordeal, we contacted the owner. He told us that his employee often had a short fuse and didn't like awkward customers. He also stated that all the other reviews on this site were made up by people trying to spoil his business. I can assure you quite categorically that I am not the same person as the other complainants. I do, however, intend to tell everyone I know never to go to these physically and mentally abusive people ever. Quite frankly if you are considering using them yourselves, you would be better off throwing your equipment away and buying new. Anne.
