Firestar Circus Arts aims to give children the chance to discover the magical world of the circus.
Circus is a wonderful activity based on a fusion of physical activity and arts. It relies on human skills, which can give enjoyment to all ages and abilities, both as participants and spectators.
Circus skills are a fun, physical activity, that help to improve confidence, co-ordination, balance, and core stability, as well as engaging creativity and the imagination.
Workshop activities include: juggling, diabolos, devil sticks, tight wire, acrobatics, dance, unicycling, stilt walking, globe, poi, hoola hoops, staff, and club twirling.
Workshops are conducted under safe, controlled conditions. Emily-Jane, Firestar's principal performer/facilitator, trained in France, performing solo, and in circus troupes, throughout Europe, and is now based in the southwest of England. She is a member of Equity, is CRB/DBS certificated, and is Public Liability insured.
