Opticians@ Sainsbury's in Ilford

The opticians at sainsburys in Newbury Park is appalling. The ladies are polite and efficient but the gentleman there has absolutely no customer service skills. On two occasions I have made an appointment only to be told when I turn up that the person I need to see is not working! On another two occasions they have cancelled because she is no longer available. I paid for my initial appointment and am still waiting to be seen a month later!

First time I’ve used this opticians, staff were very polite, I rang in the morning for an appointment was given one the next day, on time no waiting and the service by the optician was second to none very thorough and explained every thing. One pair of glasses was done within the hour the others had to go off for making as they were having a coating on them. Very pleased so far, if my others are as good as this pair I will be extremely pleased.

This week Friday 28/08/2020, we called them around 3.20pm to collect our daughter glasses. They said they will be closing at 4pm even though everything is back to normal. Part-time opening hours. Had to rush there to pick up the item. Unacceptable!
