Frameworks in Blyth
Shop opening hours:
Monday to Saturday 9:00am till 17:00pm
A few days ago me and my boyfriend were having a walk around Blyth. I am eight months pregnant and while he was outside holding the bags and finishing his cigarette and as I could no longer wait, I popped in to ask if I could use the toilets. I have had a coffee here a couple of times and my boyfriend was going to follow me in and get a table once he had finished his cigarette.
I went in and asked to use the toilets (which I have never been refused before) and the first girl was very friendly and said she would show me where they were. However, before I even had the chance to explain my boyfriend was following me in, a second older woman told me the toilets were for customer use only. I explained that I was pregnant and was really quite desperate but she was extremely rude and told me there were plenty of public toilets around Blyth.
This really was no use to me at the time as I needed to go to the toilet then. As the majority of people I hope would understand, when you are eight months pregnant and have a baby kicking on your bladder it is extremely hard to hold it in when you need to go. After feeling incredibly embarrassed as she was saying all this very loudly in front of all the customers as she continued with what she was doing when I walked into the shop, I then left.
I can certainly say that I will never be visiting this Cafe again and likewise with my friends and family who all think it is disgusting that I was refused use of the toilet. If this is the way that the employees here treat their customers I do not understand how they have custom at all.
I was visiting family in Blyth and we called into frameworks cafe for our lunch. I would definitely go back to this coffee shop as the staff are very friendly and have excellent customer service.
I would highly recommend this shop to everyone I know. Thank you to the staff for making me feel very welcome.
