I am a highly experienced English teacher who has held a senior position in a number of secondary schools in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. I enjoy the opportunity to help students in a more one-to-one environment which is the reason for home tutoring. My approach is informal and fun, helping students build not only the skills to succeed in English but also their confidence. Exam results for my students at school and home tutoring is excellent. I can help anyone looking to work on literature and/or language skills. I cover all areas of the Scottish curriculum from: ACfE, 5-14, Standard Grade, Access 3, Int 1, Int 2, Higher and Advanced Higher. I am available during evenings and weekends and can hold our sessions either in my home or at your home. For best results, I normal see a student for between one and one-and-a-half hours each session, once a week, for as long as it takes for the student to feel confident to go it alone! I woud be delighted to discuss any queries or meet in person to discuss your needs.
