Ying Chinese Takeaway in Balerno

Delivery quick and price okay if you like the kind of food they provide. Starters (fried won ton and spring rolls) were good. We had three mains, all had very strongly flavored sweet sauces, now I know that is how British Chinese food usually comes, but these were much sweeter than average British Chinese food.

Their prawn Kung Po in particular was extra double-plus sugary - more like an actual sweet than a main course - I could not eat very much of it. On the plus side the amount and quality of the prawns and meat in the dishes was okay for a take-away. Only use this place if you like super-sweet sauces. Probably good for kids. Although we live nearby we won't be using this place again.
