The Valentine Pub in Ilford

On 6.5.15 I was thrown out of the pub for discreetly giving one customer, a Green Party newsletter during a private conversation. Despite the fact that I was not disturbing anyone & had explained that I was not leafleting as such, the manager sent two bouncers over.

He was out of order & had no right to interfere in a private conversation or determine what information I could pass on to another customer. I doubt he would have minded had it been a leaflet about cancer. I suspect that he was against the Green Party & would have been fine had it been a BNP leaflet. Ironically, I later heard that this used to be known as a BNP pub. Since then, I found a review by a Sikh who had been thrown out for wearing a turban.
