The first Magikats Maths and English Tuition Centre in Wales is now open in Llandaff North in Cardiff.
We offer Maths and English tuition in groups, to students from 4-16. The programme has 2 strands, the first being the curriculum set which is challenging work related to the UK National Curriculum and delivered in the workshops with fully trained Magikat staff.
This work is matched to the student’s ability and supported by the second strand, core modules that are sent home for students to complete throughout the week. All work is monitored and pre-planned. “It really is a quality product and excellent value for money for parents and an excellent learning experience for the students’ says Jane Williams, the Principal.
Having been a UK Head-teacher and International Education Consultant, Jane recognizes the need for children to have high standards in both maths and English, as evidenced by the recent government statement, stressing the need for improved standards.
“What is really important and the one of the reasons for setting up the centre is to give students a safe environment in which to learn. This means small groups with tutor support where it is safe to ask questions, make mistakes and achieve.”
The centre has parents meetings, achievement awards and reading events to ensure that students really belong and feel supported in their learning.
