Melanie is experienced in teaching singing, beginners piano and music theory privately and very much enjoys developing voices and inspiring musicians.
As a teacher, Melanie is encouraging, positive and builds self confidence enabling the pupil to learn and enjoy learning. Melanie inspires pupils to find their natural singing voice and will work on developing this sound without forcing or trying to create a false voice.
In theory lessons, Melanie creates a fun learning environment for pupils to best develop their knowledge in music theory and will always reinforce positive encouragement and progress.
Having completed grade 8 piano herself, Melanie is qualified to teach beginners piano and does so up to grade 5 or equivalent. As a piano teacher, Melanie focusses on the enjoyment of learning this fascinating instrument while setting good habits for future playing.
Melanie is proud to have taught a number of musicians and helped them achieve positive results in performances, exams and festivals including all singing exams up to grade 8 and piano exams upto grade 5 through Trinity College London as well as theory exams up to grade 5 through ABRSM.
Lessons usually last half an hour and cost £12.50 per session.
