Consulate General of India in Birmingham

Most disgraceful place to visit. The staff is very rude. They shout and have no respect for their clients. They do not answer emails or phones. The only way in my experience was to visit the consulate in person. I travelled from Cheshire to Birmingham to clarify a query because the consulate did not reply to any means of communication. There is no reception and you are met by a man with a metal detector and simply shown to stairs. You enter a hall which is full of people . There is a window number 1(labelled reception) but on my visit you could only go there if invited. Total chaos every where and I was very disappointed by the way I was spoken to, which changed as the man from behind the glass window looked at the papers presented. Terrible day! I have withdrawn my visa application.
