Khushbu in Upper Beeding, Steyning

Been using the Takeaway for 20 years, always been satisfied, great portions and great flavour in all the dishes. Staff are great and only positive things to say about the Khushbu.

Do not buy anything from this Indian takeaway! They were nearly two hours late, was called 4-5 times by the driver who was lost, when I questioned whether they used sat navs they assured me they didn't need it! When the food got here it was all cold, I didn't want to turn the food away so asked for some discount on the £30 cold meal to which I got a very rude response saying no chance, take it or leave it. The driver was also rude and said you can just heat it up. Very dismissive, poor service, cold food and very rude staff who did not apologise once. I would be ashamed to run this establishment. Please buy your dinner elsewhere if you do not want to be disappointed.

Despite the negative comments above and the rather tired shop front, this takeaway has the usual staples - BUT a fresh approach to the herbs and spices used. We were expecting a-run-of-the-mill taste, but were delighted to find every dish well cooked and delicious to a jaded palate (when compared to supermarket alternatives). Well worth a try for the usual choices - but do explore the Goa specialities; unusual names and recipes - but no horrors of taste or heat.
