Capital Roofing in Minety, Malmesbury

After "Alan" if that's his name cold called, my neighbour and myself had some roofing repairs done. I agreed to have the full roof ridge re-cemented, although Alan had to use an old bucket of mine to mix the cement. Obviously came well prepared. Only did 3/4 of ridge as stated other tiles were OK. Took the cash and gave me invoice with 10 year guarantee. I noticed one of the tiles had not been finished off correctly so rang the office and Alan returned 2 days later only to say he would fix next day. Never saw him again despite several calls. Now the tile in question has fallen off (Jan 2015) so tried again to call and left message. Alan returned call but as soon as he discovered work was under guarantee he seemed to lose interest but assured me he would call back with a firm date to repair roof. No call back and not replying to my calls. They make cowboys look good.

Please avoid this company. He "Alan" took my money, then didn't finish the job, despite promising every day he would come back. He left an awful mess, I still have cement stuck to my window frames. He borrowed ladders from my neighbour. How embarrassing. He had no credit on his phone and asked to use my phone. The man didn't even have a van! I treated him with respect and all I got was a half finished job that cost over the odds. I am now having to save up to have the unfinished work done. On top of that the guttering he installed is leaking! Plus I have tracked down 10 other people with the same issues! Trading standards have been informed.

I would not recommend this company. Despite repeated phone calls requesting that a leak in the guttering (that Capital Roofing installed) should be repaired, calls that were always answered by an assurance that they would be round to put things right, I never saw any sign of them.
Their guarantee is obviously worthless.
