St. Marys Hospice Shop in Bowness-on-windermere, Windermere

Lovely charity shop at the top of the hill in Bowness. I come to the lakes several times a year and have done for a long time. I had avoided this shop after a very unpleasant run-in with an old woman 3 years ago. However, this shop has recently had a makeover (last year or so) and is now one of the best charity shops in the lakes - it seems to be run by one woman (never seen any old people here!?) who is friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to get unusual stuff and antiques.
