Alpine East Midlands Ltd in Alfreton

First impressions was what a rusty scruffy old merc van outside my house all day.
We had our conservatory roof renewed with tinted panels at a cost fitted of around £1000, this was a 3x3 edwardian, the work was ok but they left a ton of mess, they grinded out for the lead flashing with the roof panels out and all the blinds were filthy, not good... then after they had left I noticed the bottom of the roof panels went straight , long story short, they had been cut wrong, I rung up and they said they would send the sales person out again to look , he did this and agreed for them to come out, and while he was here he sold me a new door panel for the rear of my house at a cost of £189, we paid a £30 deposit and asked for it to be done in september of this year, well that came and went, we tried ringing and emailing with no luck, we rung the sales person up that just said this wasnt his job to chase the owner, well it wasnt our job , this went on till this month november, we eventually got our £30 deposit back but no luck with the roof panels. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

I purchased a composite door from this company, quick service and good selection of colour, glazing etc. Paid a deposit and a date arranged for fitting. An old unmarked van turned up, I expected at least a logo to show who they worked for as the website stated all fitters work directly for them and paid the best salaries! The door was fitted very quickly (clue number one) and the 2 guys seemed very polite and tidied up after them. The boss then called me to take payment after fitting which at the time seemed fine. I asked for a copy of the 10 year certificate and was told it would come in the post. Nothing arrived so I called the office. No one answered my various calls over several days and no one returned any messages or emails. When I eventually spoke to a lady from the showroom, she stated the guarantee was on the back of the order form! At that point I knew I was dealing with a cowboy company and that I wouldn't get anywhere. I contacted Fensa directly as they are still showing on the website. I also had problems with the lock shortly afterwards but Alpine proved impossible to get hold of and even cancelled an appointment to quote for a canopy once I confirmed the address. NO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT QUALITY PRODUCTS AND A PROMISED GUARANTEE GIVEN. I now have to have a new door fitted as the locking mechanism is broken (door is 2 years old) Now I have gone to a reputable company and I expected this would cost me more but is actually less than Alpine charged me! Hard lesson learnt at my end.
