My work with clients is face to face and strictly confidential. It may be long term, time limited or short term individual counselling. It may concentrate on a particular issue or be more general. It provides an opportunity for clients to be listened to in secure surroundings, away from the everyday rush, to untangle knots and confusions and to deal with the problems of living. The issues may involve depression, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, self harm, anxiety, bereavement, or any of the dilemmas which may arise in our lives. The need may be to come to terms with a painful situation or to search for greater understanding. There are times when we need to confide in someone, to talk and be listened to. The sessions can at times be difficult and uncomfortable, but also rewarding. They reflect the challenges of life and may help towards using those challenges in a constructive and positive way.
